Contains information on sources of dental information, general health and oral health information on the Internet, and consumer information on the ADA web site. Available for 2000. - Consumers' Opinions Regarding Community Water Fluoridation
The report contains information gathered from adult consumers regarding fluoridation of water systems. Includes breakdowns by age, income, education and region. Available for 1998.
Survey of Advertising Effectiveness
- Consumer Awareness of Advertising, 1998
Summarizes data related to consumer knowledge of the ADA. Topics include awareness of the ADA name and images associated with the ADA, familiarity with the ADA Seal of Acceptance, and the impact of ADA promotions on visits to the dentist. - The Dental Experience, 1998
Summarizes data related to consumer views of dentistry and dentists. Major topics include the level of importance placed on maintaining oral health, familiarity with dental procedures, and satisfaction with previous dental visits.
Consumer Price Index for Dental Services
Annual report containing current information about the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the government's primary measure of inflation. Charts, monthly and annual tables present CPI for dental services, and CPIs for other useful categories such as medical care, physician services, etc. Also included is the cumulative effect of inflation since 1970, with year-to-year changes; a narrative section which explains CPI and collection of data for dental services by U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics; and formulas with examples for doing basic calculations using the data from the tables.
