ADA chooses U.S. Bank for member credit card

After a comprehensive review and search, U.S. Bank has been selected to provide credit card services for ADA members, ADA Business Resources announced last month.

The new ADA Visa card will replace the existing Citibank program, and ADA cardholders will receive new credit cards from U.S. Bank throughout the month of April.

U.S. Bank, based in Minneapolis, is the fifth largest U.S. commercial bank and has a reputation for financial stability as well as a highly trained customer service staff who can meet the unique needs of dentists. These were important considerations in the selection process for a new credit card provider, said Dr. Robert Faiella, chairman and CEO of ADA Business Resources.

"We looked for a credit card provider that could bring quality customer service, competitive interest rates, financial soundness and an exciting system of rewards and benefits," said Dr. Faiella. "We have found that and more in U.S. Bank. We are confident ADA members will be truly pleased with this new program."

"We are thrilled to offer a fantastic credit card reward program for ADA members," added John Owens, senior vice president of Retail Payment Solutions at U.S. Bank. "We understand that dentists want a credit card they can count on, plus the ability to earn rewards and redeem them whenever they want. Our program does just that: a robust travel program along with multiple merchandise and gift card options."

U.S. Bank will be converting existing ADA credit cards at the end of April. Mr. Owens said that the transition to U.S. Bank will be seamless for ADA members.

"Your new card will be mailed to you in mid-April along with easy activation instructions," he said. "All existing balances and rewards will transfer to your new card, and no new application is required. You can continue to use your Citibank card until your receive and activate your new card."

The new ADA Visa card benefits will be fully explained in the welcome kit and program guide mailed to members.

Dr. Faiella believes the new endorsement will enable dentists to enjoy both the immediate and long-term benefits of owning a U.S. Bank Visa card. "We're leveraging the purchasing power of our organization to provide a premium level of service and rewards," said Dr. Faiella. "Plus, every ADA Visa card purchase contributes revenue toward vital programs that support all ADA members, so it’s a win-win for everyone."

ADA members, their staff and families who do not have an existing ADA credit card are invited to apply at www.usbank.com/ADAVisaCard or go to www.adabusinessresources.com for more information about U.S. Bank or any of the dozen products and services that are endorsed for dentists.
