Contact the Committee
The Joint Commission and CIE recognize that any major change in an examination program may present challenges, but also provides the potential for innovation and creativity which may be enhanced by openly sharing information. A major priority of the Joint Commission is communication with stakeholders and communities of interest.
Multiple methods are used to communicate. The INBDE website is an important resource for information, updates, published materials, and drafts for comment concerning the INBDE. The Frequently Asked Questions page will continue to be updated with new materials. The Frequently Asked Questions page will continue to be updated with new materials.
Presentations concerning the INBDE are also made at professional conferences, most notably AADB and ADEA. The Joint Commission makes these presentations available to be downloaded.
Updates on the INBDE are included in the JCNDE e-newsletter that is sent to many dental deans, associate/academic deans, advanced education program directors, state boards, clinical testing agencies, and associations. The INBDE mailing list is also used to provide information.
As the project progresses, other methods of communication will be considered and used when appropriate.
Volunteers will be needed throughout the project to participate on expert review panels, Test Construction Committees, and other activities. Please send a message to: firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer.
Join the INBDE Mailing List
The Joint Commission encourages anyone interested in the INBDE to join the mailing list. To join, sent your name and email address to the CIE mailbox at email@example.com. It is helpful if you can include your affiliation or interest in the new examination, but that is optional. Please enter "mailing list" as the subject line. If several individuals would like to be added to the mailing list, the information can be sent in one email.
