Health Screening Program Being Retooled
Dentists have long relied on the ADA Foundation Health Screening Program (HSP) to monitor their personal health and the overall health of the dental profession. Loyal participants of the HSP, which has been offered at Annual Session for 45 years, will notice that we are taking a year off in 2008 to retool this popular program and bring you an even better HSP at Annual Session in 2009. The ADA is updating the HSP to ensure that it will continue to meet your needs. Look for future updates on this page and in ADA Publications. The HSP will be back at the 2009 Annual Session in Honolulu. We hope to see you there!

What is the Health Screening Program?
For more than 40 years, the ADA Foundation Health Screening Program has helped dental care providers monitor their health while making the dental office safer for the dental team and their patients. Participants in the Health Screening Program will receive state-of-the art screenings for a variety of occupational health concerns.
In addition, the Health Screening Program conducts a scientific assessment of specific provider and patient safety issues. This information helps educate and guide the profession on topics and policies related to risk assessment and disease management and prevention. |
