DENTAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Saboba Medical Centre is a rural medical centre sponsored by the Assemblies of God Relief and Development Services, (AGREDS) an NGO of Ghana, (agreds.org ). It is the only medical facility for the 108,000 people of the Saboba-Cheriponi region.

Individual dentists, or dental teams, are invited to serve a short or long term dental mission at the Saboba Medical Centre, Saboba Ghana, where there are no regular dental services. A simple dental suite is operational. It will be completed as funds are available.

A temporary dental license is required, and processing takes 90 days on receipt of the application by the Ghana Medical and Dental Council. A minimum trip of 2 weeks includes for 4 days of travel to Saboba, 6 days of patient care and 4 days of travel home. An additional week would allow more time to treat patients and to do some sightseeing.

Accommodations are in a modest guest house. The rooms have a fan, and a bathroom. A cook is available to provide meals. Cost from Los Angeles, California is about $3000 for the 2 weeks.
