Washington Leadership Conference
Every spring hundreds of dentists gather together in the nation’s capital to advocate for their patients, profession and their practice. At the Washington Leadership Conference (WLC), you will hear from political analysts, subject matter experts, members of Congress and politically involved dentists on issues that affect oral health in the United States. Join your colleagues and the American Dental Association in helping the current efforts on the Hill to ensure your voice is heard by lawmakers.
Who should attend?
All ADA member dentists are invited to join their colleagues to speak with One Voice United on Capitol Hill. All ADA Action Team Leaders are partially funded by the ADA to attend the conference and meet with their legislator.

Recap of the 2014 Washington Leadership Conference
Last year the Washington Leadership Conference gathered more than 500 dental leaders together in Washington D.C. Over the next two days, participants were educated on how to advocate for important dental legislation and then made personal visits to their Members of Congress on Capitol Hill. Participants spoke passionately and informatively about important issues such as the Medicaid Recovery Audit Contractor Program, student loan reform legislation and the Action for Dental Health bill.

2014 WLC Featured Speaker
The ADA was pleased to have Dana Perino, former White House Press Secretary and current Fox News Host as the keynote speaker for the 2014 Washington Leadership Conference. As only the second female press secretary in U.S. history and one of the most widely-respected members of President Bush's senior staff, she is an expert in crafting and communicating key messages under stressful conditions and a keen analyst of the latest political news. Ms. Perino was also the special guest at ADPAC's Diamond Club Reception which immediately followed her keynote address.
