ADA, Other Dental Groups Detail Funding Requests for Congressional Appropriators
March 08, 2016
The ADA outlined its requests for fiscal year 2017 oral health funding in a letter last week to the House and Senate Appropriations Committees. Joining the Association were the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, the American Dental Education Association and the American Association for Dental Research. The organizations also requested that congressional appropriators include report language directing the Health Resources and Services Administration to reinstate the position of chief dental officer.
The Organized Dentistry Coalition, of which the ADA is a member, will send its own letter to the House and Senate Appropriations Committee leadership requesting the chief dental officer language be included in the appropriations report.
