ADA President Testifies Before Congress on Importance of IHS Dental Programs
March 25, 2015
ADA President Dr. Maxine Feinberg this afternoon testified before the Interior Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee on the importance of properly funding the Indian Health Services' Oral Health Division. Noting the unusually high rate of dental disease among American Indians, Dr. Feinberg urged subcommittee members to direct additional funds to IHS dental programs. An additional $4 million, she said, would help fund portable dental equipment and preventive programs.
