The advanced dental education survey reports provide information on the nine recognized dental specialties and five postdoctoral general dentistry disciplines accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
The allied dental education survey reports summarize data provided by administrators of dental assisting, dental hygiene and dental laboratory technology programs accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

Survey of Dental Education Series
Annual survey of all predoctoral dental education programs accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Reports in the series include general information, student and graduate data, curriculum, and financial management of dental schools in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Report 1: Academic Programs, Enrollment and Graduates
Provides statistical information on academic programs, admission requirements, and enrollment and graduate levels. Also features trends in applications, first-year and total enrollment, first-year repeaters, numbers of graduates, and female student enrollment.
Report 2: Tuition, Admission and Attrition
Includes annual resident and non-resident tuition, general fees and other fixed costs associated with instruments, textbooks and health services. Also provides information on admissions policies of dental schools in the US and Canada; the number of applications; academic qualifications of first-year students; criteria employed in the admissions process; advanced placement and number of international dental school graduates; distribution of first-year students according to citizenship; and information on students withdrawing from dental school.
Report 3: Finances
Provides financial information from the previous fiscal year from accredited United States dental schools. Revenue and expenditures are presented by individual category and in total. Includes ratios of revenue and expenditures per student and comparisons between public and private schools.
Report 4: Curriculum
Summarizes clock hours of instruction in biomedical sciences; dental/clinical sciences; and behavioral, social, information, and research sciences in United States dental schools by curriculum type and major teaching area.
Published in alternate years, this survey is currently undergoing revision. The most recent edition is for the 2010-11 academic year.

Provides annual information on the nine recognized dental specialty and five postdoctoral general dentistry programs accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Features general program information, student demographic data, enrollment and graduate levels, and tuition and stipends.
