June 16, 2014    Two dental schools adopt SNODENT
Two dental schools have implemented the Systemized Nomenclature of Dentistry in their electronic dental records systems. The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and the New York University College of Dentistry are both SNODENT licensees that will use the clinical coding set to help their students correlate the best treatment to a diagnosis.

The International Health Terminology Standards Development Organization (IHTSDO) Dental SIG to Meet in Denmark April 7-10, 2013
The International Health Terminology Standards Development Organization (IHTSDO ) annual business meeting will take place on April 7-10, 2013 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Many of its committees and working groups will also meet at that time including the IHTSDO Dental Specialty Interest Group (SIG), which meets April 8, 2013.

American Dental Association and the IHTSDO Agree to Licensing Arrangements
The oldest and largest national dentist society in the world, the American Dental Association (ADA), and the International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation (IHTSDO), the leading provider of standardized clinical terminology (SNOMED CT), are pleased to announce that they have entered into a licensing agreement permitting the IHTSDO to incorporate the ADA’s dental diagnostic codes into the IHTSDO’s SNOMED CT medical code set.
