Apply to Take the OAT

Thank you for your interest in applying for the OAT. Please continue reading and check this page regularly for updates and additional information.

To start the OAT application process, obtain a PIN and read the official OAT Guide.  On the terms and conditions page of the application, you will be asked to confirm that you have read the Guide and agree to the rules and regulations. 

Keep in mind testing fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. There are no exceptions. Your credit or debit card will be charged when you submit your application.

When inputting your name, use the name as it appears on your official government issued identification, such as a driver’s license or passport. When you arrive at the test center, the name on the IDs you present must match exactly the name on your application or you will be denied admission to test. If you are denied admission, you will need to submit a new application and you will forfeit your previous fee.

Electronic Notification of OAT Eligibility
Upon processing of an examinee's OAT application, examinees will receive an email notification of eligibility for testing with instructions for appointment scheduling. Please check your spam folder if you are unable to locate the notification before you contact the Department of Testing Services for assistance.
