Video spotlights JADA report of PEARL Network research
April 02, 2012
Video featuring a research report on dentin caries from The Journal of the American Dental Association’s April issue is available online at http://youtu.be/uWbDRYP_Fpo.
The research findings are from practitioner-investigators in the PEARL Network—Practitioners Engaged in Applied Research and Learning, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.
The video, which runs just over four minutes, features Dr. Maryann Lehmann of Darien, Conn., an author and PEARL Network practitioner-investigator who contributed to the JADA study entitled “Dentin caries activity in early occlusal lesions selected to receive operative treatment.”
The PEARL network was launched in 2005 when the New York University College of Dentistry received a $26.7 million award from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (part of NIH) to establish one of three regional practice-based research networks to expand the research evidenced base in dentistry.
The PEARL Network now includes more than 200 practitioners in 35 states.
