Members interested in running for ADA treasurer can go on ADA.org to find the information necessary for filing for candidacy.

The ADA has posted a blank standard curriculum vitae form, in addition to other information about the requirements of the office, in the members only section of ADA.org at 2012 Treasurer Information. The deadline for filing is June 21.

The current ADA treasurer is Dr. Edward Leone Jr., whose second three-year term will end at Annual Session this year. Per ADA Bylaws, the treasurer may hold the office for two consecutive three-year terms.

The list of requirements for the office that are posted on ADA.org reflect the Board of Trustees' decision last summer to establish a set of “desirable attributes” a treasurer should possess, as well as a set of requirements for the office any candidate must satisfy. The list of desirable attributes is intended to inform the House's consideration of candidates. The Board offers the list as guidance only and will allow the House to decide if candidates possess these attributes.
