The Bogalusa, La.-based dentist stopped in at the ADA Professional Product Review Product Forum Oct. 19 to learn about Infection Control: Protecting the Health of the Dentist, Dental Staff and Patients.
Dentists, hygienists and dental assistants who attended received one free continuing education credit.
“Infection control is very important in my office, and I would like to be informed of everything there is to know,” Dr. LeMaire said.
Dr. Tullner, who teaches infection control at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, talked to Dr. LeMaire about how to select products and what properties to look for.
“It’s not important to get brand names, it’s important to know the concepts and how to choose a product,” Dr. Tullner said.
The video “The ADA Practical Guide to Infection Control” was playing on a TV at the booth, which also exhibited disposable handpieces, safety needles, gloves and more.
“The ADA Practical Guide to Infection Control” workbook and DVD (P692) can be purchased in the ADA Catalog by visiting catalog.ada.org. It’s $135 for members and $202.50 for nonmembers.
