ADA invites nonmembers to join with special offer

Here’s an offer you can’t refuse.
Many dentists are eligible to join the ADA now and pay $0 for national dues for the remainder of the year.
“You have so much in common with the ADA’s more than 157,000 members: a love of the dental profession, a strong commitment to your patients and to America’s oral health, and a personal desire for professional success,” ADA President William Calnon wrote in a mailing to dentists. “Take a minute to join your colleagues as a member this year. Every member counts, and we’re counting on you now.”
The outreach to nonmember dentists includes a list of resources the ADA provides for members on the national level to help them succeed in practice, including advocacy before Congress; JADA and ADA News; Professional Product Review; ADA Insurance Plans; ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry; participation in the Ad Council/Partnership for Healthy Mouths, Healthy Lives’ oral health campaign; ADA.org; and MouthHealthy.org.
There’s more available at the state and local level, too, such as leadership development programs, peer review, CE, volunteer opportunities, career support and publications.
“We’re helping dentists achieve success throughout their careers while improving the oral health of America,” wrote Dr. Calnon. “But we can’t do it alone. Together, we can make the dental profession even stronger.”
Many state and local dental societies also match the $0 rate. To apply, dentists who were not a member in 2011 and have not taken advantage of the $0 offer in the past can complete the application sent to them via mail, or visit ADA.org/join to complete an online membership application; contact their state dental association; or call 312.440.2500 for more information.
