Dental assistants to meet in San Francisco
September 03, 2012
San Francisco—The American Dental Assistants Association will hold its Annual Session Oct. 19-20 in conjunction with the ADA Annual Session, offering dental assistants a chance to take advantage of continuing education opportunities, visit the ADA World Marketplace exhibition and attend ADA special events.
The ADAA meeting headquarters is at the JW Marriott on the corner of Post and Mason streets.
ADAA members can register for the meeting and for courses in the dental assisting educational track at ADA.org/session.
“This joint meeting is an excellent tool to strengthen the dental team,” said Jen Blake, C.D.A, director, education and professional relations.
“In addition to attending the business portion of the ADAA meeting, our members also have the opportunity to attend continuing education developed especially for the dental assistant through the jointly sponsored ADA/ADAA Dental Assistant Education Track. There will also be time to visit the ADA World Marketplace exhibit hall, where the latest products and services will be on display.”
ADAA is also planning a leadership summit Oct. 18, a student forum and a member forum Oct. 20 and the opportunity for members to attend the open hearing Oct. 19 for the ADA/Commission on Dental Accreditation proposed standards revisions for dental assisting education programs (must be registered for the ADA meeting to attend).
