ADA president, board to be honored at GKAS Gala
August 19, 2013
New Orleans — There is still time to purchase tickets for the 2013 ADA Foundation Give Kids A Smile Gala, Nov. 1 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside (ADA headquarters hotel).
This year's gala will feature New Orleans-style entertainment as Lena Prima, daughter of jazz giant Louis Prima, takes the stage along with her band and guest vocalist Art Vargas. The playlist will include classic jazz selections with New Orleans flair, including the favorite “Pennies from Heaven.” More information about Ms. Prima is available online.
The ADA Foundation Give Kids A Smile Gala will carry on the tradition of the ADA President's Gala by honoring ADA President Robert A. Faiella and the ADA Board of Trustees but with a big-hearted twist: it also raises funds for Give Kids A Smile, the ADA's premier access-to-care program.
As they were in 2012, gala tickets are $250, with $100 of each ticket being a tax-deductible charitable donation to the ADA Foundation to support the GKAS program.
The 2012 ADA Foundation Give Kids A Smile Gala raised more than $82,000 in new funds to support GKAS.
Major gala supporters at press time included Henry Schein and Colgate-Palmolive (benefactors); CareCredit, DENTSPLY and Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company (patrons); and 3M ESPE, Air Techniques, American Dental Education Association, Dental Trade Alliance and Hu-Friedy (sponsors).
Tickets can be purchased through the Annual Session registration system ADA Session or by calling the ADA Foundation at 312.440.2547.
