ADA to celebrate World Oral Health Day at GKAS event
March 18, 2013
The ADA will mark World Oral Health Day at the GKAS/NASCAR event in Mira Loma, Calif.
The American Dental Association launched the Give Kids A Smile program in 2003 as a way for ADA members to join with others in the community to provide dental services to underserved children. Each year, about 450,000 children in the U.S. benefit from more than 1,500 events, all because of the efforts of 40,000 or more annual volunteers.
FDI World Oral Health Day is celebrated every year on March 20. The theme of World Oral Health Day 2013 is “Healthy Teeth for Healthy Life.” It reflects the major contribution of oral health in our lives. Around the world, FDI member dental associations, schools, companies and other groups will celebrate the day under the single, unifying and simple message.
