DALE Foundation seeks nominations for board trustee

The Dental Auxiliary Learning and Education Foundation is seeking nominations for an open position on its board of trustees.
Complete nominations must be postmarked or received by mail or faxed by Dec. 16. The board of directors of the Dental Assisting National Board Inc., which established the DALE Foundation in 2010, will review the recommendations of the nominating committee and hold elections after reviewing all materials. All nominees will be contacted with the results of the election by March 1, 2014.
The DALE Foundation, an ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program recognized provider, offers online educational tools and resources.
Trustees on the DALE Foundation's board are elected to serve for a maximum of two three-year terms. The final term may be extended if the trustee is elected as president-elect.
The DALE Foundation is seeking a trustee to join its board with expertise in as many of these areas as possible: corporate interests; education (dental, dental hygiene, dental assisting); e-learning; employer (dentist); employment (dental office manager); fundraising; public health; and research.
Nominations must include a letter of interest from the individual being nominated (or self-nominated); current resume/curriculum vitae; and a letter of recommendation from an employer, supervisor, co-worker or from someone who has served with the nominee on a committee or board of a state or national oral health care organization.
Those who meet the Dec. 16 deadline are required to send written responses to interview questions by Jan. 6, 2014.
