Seeing is believing on ADA365

Education in the Round course broadcast, live chat set for Feb. 7

January 20, 2014

Dental professionals can log on to ADA365 and earn continuing education credit Feb. 7 with a live-patient course that demonstrates complete fabrication of an implant overdenture prosthesis.

Dr. Joseph Massad will be online for the broadcast of his Education in the Round course, Seeing is Believing. The three-hour course, originally presented at the ADA's annual meeting in New Orleans on Nov. 2, 2013, will air beginning at 11 a.m. Central time, followed by a live chat and Q-and-A with Dr. Massad.

Participants will learn to make a final impression in 20 minutes without a lab custom tray, complete a jaw recording with a gothic arch tracing device and create a cameo impression.

"Dr. Massad's course has not yet aired on ADA365, so this will be the first chance for most ADA members to view it," said Dr. James Galati, 2014 chair of the Council on ADA Sessions. "Nearly 150 participants took the course on-site in New Orleans, and this is a great opportunity for the majority of our members to experience this live-patient course via the online extension of the ADA annual meeting."

Viewers can earn 2.5 hours of CE credit and Dr. Massad will also offer participants a sneak preview of the courses he will be presenting at ADA 2014—America's Dental Meeting Oct. 9-14 in San Antonio.

Cost for the course is $99. To register, visit ADA365.

On April 9, the ADA will broadcast the Education in the Round course Extraction Site Management for Implant Reconstruction by Dr. Michael Pikos. For more information, visit ADA365.
