By Amy E. Lund

Geneva—The FDI World Dental Federation is seeking a new editor to start Jan. 1, 2015, for its International Dental Journal.

The deadline for direct applications or recommendations is Aug. 4, 2014.

The editor will attract and select content for IDJ by searching for original scientific articles, commissioned review articles, editorials and FDI Congress and events proceedings. IDJ is a peer-reviewed journal published six times a year by Wiley-Blackwell.

The editor, who will report to the FDI through the executive director, also is responsible for the smooth running of the journal, the quality of its content and raising its profile as the flagship scientific publication of the FDI, as well as recommending editorial board members and finding supplement sponsorship. The appointment is for a three-year renewable period.

For more information, interested candidates can contact Dr. Jean-Luc Eiselé, the FDI's executive director, by email at jleisele@fdiworldental.org or by phone at +41 22-560-8150.
