American adults don't appear to know enough about head and neck cancers, according to a study published online June 5 in JAMA Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery. One tool dental practices can employ to educate patients is the ADA's brochure Get the Facts About Mouth and Throat Cancer.
The revised brochure provides the causes, signs, symptoms and risk factors for both oral and pharyngeal cancer, along with the human papillomavirus connection. Get the Facts About Mouth and Throat Cancer (W151)
