Charlotte, N.C.—ADA Foundation and ADA scientists and researchers presented eight scientific abstracts and other works March 19-22 during the 43rd annual meeting of the American Association for Dental Research and the 38th annual meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research.
Scientists from the ADA Foundation Dr. Anthony Volpe Research Center, located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and from the ADA Division of Science, presented the following:
- A Universal Function for the Edge Chip Resistance of Materials, oral presentation, George Quinn, a consultant to the Volpe Research Center; Anthony Guiseppetti and (the late) Janet B. Quinn, Ph.D.;
- 3-D Imaging Method for Measuring Shrinkage and Marginal-gap Formation, oral presentation, Jirun Sun, Ph.D.; Evalyn Myerly (college summer intern); Dr. Gary Schumacher; and Sheng Lin-Gibson, Ph.D., a National Institute of Standards and Technology employee;
- Novel Dental Resin Composites with Improved Service Life, oral presentation, Dr. Sun. Members of the ADA Division of Science projects included:
