East Carolina University reveals new dental learning centers

May 19, 2014

Service learning: (Left) Dr. Greg Chadwick, dean of East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, tours the new ECU dental community service learning center on March 24 in Lillington, N.C. with ECU chancellor Steve Ballard. ECU community service learning centers are facilities that combine clinical education and patient care where fourth-year dental students will spend nine-week clinical rotations at the centers. General dentistry residents will also hone their dentistry skills at the centers. The centers will provide dental care to Medicaid enrollees and other members of the community who lack regular dental care.
