2014 MSDA National Medicaid and CHIP Oral Health Symposium convenes June 8-10
Washington—The Medicaid-CHIP State Dental Association will host the 2014 National Medicaid and CHIP Oral Health Symposium June 8-10 at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
The program, Contracting with State Medicaid Dental Programs: Improving Program Quality and Value, is designed to help states, contractors and dental providers serve Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program dental patients in need. The agenda is appropriate for those providers seeking to better understand participation in Medicaid.
The program offers a variety of panel discussions on topics that include: emerging models and roles and responsibilities of states and contractors for Medicaid and CHIP dental programs; federal and state regulations; scope of services for participating dental providers; beneficiary enrollment, benefits and communications; program administration and management; quality and integrity measures to detect and prevent fraud, waste and abuse; and reporting regulations, information and data requirements and recommendations for states developing contracts.

Sports dentistry meeting planned for June 19-21
San Diego—Dentists with an interest in sports-related practice should mark their calendar for the Academy for Sports Dentistry's 32nd annual symposium June 19-21 at the Westin San Diego.
The theme of the meeting is Total Sports Team Dentistry: Marketing … Relationships … Performance. Continuing education courses will cover a wide range of topics, including: team dentistry, facial/dental trauma, prevention and treatment of concussions; sports nutrition, a hands-on mouthguard workshop; and more.

New Delhi—Early registration discounts for the FDI World Dental Congress are available until May 31.
The land of a billion smiles will welcome some 10,000 dental professionals, exhibitors, friends and families to the 2014 congress Sept. 11-14 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida (a suburb of New Delhi).
