AAWD plans day of CE and networking Oct. 9 in San Antonio
September 01, 2014
— Women dentists can focus on enhancing their clinical and leadership skills and personal development Oct. 9 by attending the daylong American Association of Women Dentists 2014 Annual Meeting held in conjunction with ADA 2014 — America’s Dental Meeting.
The AAWD meeting will convene at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center’s Lila Cockrell Theatre. The program includes three courses, a panel discussion, lunch with exhibitors and a networking reception.
Dr. Barbara Steinberg will discuss how outstanding leaders need to take care of their physical, mental and emotional well-being in Forever Young: Taking Care of No. 1; Dr. LeeAnn Brady will provide Top Tips for Posterier Composites; and Amy Morgan will cover the keys to staying in front of challenges and creating balance in your office with See Jane Lead: What Every Woman Dentist Needs to Know. A panel discussion, Building Your Practice Success: How to Be a Great Leader at Every Stage of Your Practice, will include speakers at various ages and stages of their careers.
Register at ADA.org/meeting for the entire daylong program. Cost is $85 for AAWD members and $115 for nonmembers, and includes lunch, CE and a one-hour cocktail reception. Nonmembers who join AAWD before Oct. 31 will receive $25 off their first year’s dues. (Those who have already registered for ADA 2014 can log in using the link in their confirmation email to add the AAWD program to their registration.)
The AAWD is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry.
