Visit the ADA Advocacy Booth during America's Dental Meeting
October 13, 2015
— The Association is hosting an advocacy booth at ADA 2015 – America's Dental Meeting where members can learn more about ADA public affairs and ADPAC activities.
Open Nov. 5-7, the booth is located near the American Dental Political Action Committee Donor Board off the tunnel from the Marriott Marquis entrance to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
ADA volunteer member dentists and staff from the ADA's Congressional Affairs team are on hand with advocacy videos of dentists discussing legislative issues. Members will have the opportunity to get involved on the spot by using Phone2Action, a digital platform that utilizes email, Twitter and Facebook to send messages to Capitol Hill on behalf of the 70th Anniversary of community water fluoridation and Action for Dental Health.
This year, grassroots activities have led to more than 260 in-person, in-district meetings between ADA members and Congress. Additionally, ADA members have used Engage — the Association's main advocacy tool — to send more than 7,300 messages to legislators on issues ranging from fluoride to student loan reform with the intent of improving public policies related to dentistry.
Members who can't attend the meeting in Washington are encouraged to sign up for Engage online
