Henry Schein receives Hispanic Dental Association award, announces plans for free dental exams

Henry Schein was the recipient of the Corporate Award from the Hispanic Dental Association for its ongoing contributions to programs that aim to increase diversity and provide oral health care to Hispanic communities worldwide.

“Henry Schein shares the HDA’s strong commitment to promote greater awareness of oral health issues facing the Hispanic population, to advocate for greater Hispanic representation in the oral health professions and to support the continuing education of Hispanic dental professionals,” said Stanley M. Bergman, Henry Schein chairman of the board and chief executive officer in a news release.

Henry Schein also announced on August 20 plans to provide free medical and dental examinations for 8,700 children and their caregivers at 14 health fair events across the United States.

The program, Healthy Lifestyles, Healthy Communities, is a partnership with the National Association of Community Health Centers. This is the ninth year Henry Schein has provided the service. Henry Schein has raised more than $700,000 through Healthy Lifestyles, Healthy Communities.
