Denver — In partnership with the ADA, Colgate-Palmolive Company and Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals have created two free continuing education courses at ADA 2016 – America's Dental Meeting, both on Oct. 21. One focuses on a panel-led discussion on global oral health, while the other shines a light on tooth-borne and implant-borne dental restorations.

The courses are:
  • The Evolving Landscape of Global Oral Health, Its Prevention and Treatment: A Panel Discussion (6333) will convene 1-4 p.m. Oct. 21 and is worth three CE hours. This panel discussion will concentrate on the state of global oral health. The panelists will discuss the impact of shifting demographics, the importance of risk assessment, the advent of new and effective preventive technologies, the role of oral care as part of primary health care and the empowered patient in the delivery of care. This course is created in a partnership with Colgate-Palmolive Company.
  • Clinical Practice Guidelines for Recall and Maintenance of Patients with Tooth-Borne and Implant-Borne Dental Restorations (6336) will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 21 and is worth two CE hours.
