Correctional health care meeting offers CE

August 22, 2016 Las Vegas — Dentists who work in public health or want to learn more about what it’s like to work in a correctional facility, and earn up to 32 continuing education credits, can do so Oct. 22-26 at the 40th National Commission on Correctional Health Care Conference.

Oral health-related sessions at the conference include Preventive Dentistry: New Paradigm for Correctional Dentistry, with Dr. Nicholas Makrides, chief dental officer for the U.S. Public Health Service and ADA Liaison for the National Commission on Correctional Health Care board of directors. There are more than 100 other concurrent sessions offered on other topics including hepatitis C, HIV, mental illness and substance abuse.
