Franklin, Tenn. — The Tennessee Dental Association hired Mike Dvorak as its new executive director earlier this year and his first day on the job was July 1.

Mr. Dvorak replaces David Horvat, who is retiring after serving as the TDA executive director for nearly 39 years.

Educated at Illinois State University and Trident University International, Mr. Dvorak was the former executive director of the Atlantic Coast District Dental Association in West Palm Beach, Florida, for 13 years. He previously worked for the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners in Chicago and has more than 23 years of experience working in the nonprofit and association sector.
