Washington — Two Association member dentists are running for Congress with support from the American Dental Political Action Committee.

Presented here, in order of their primaries:

Dr. Drew Ferguson of West Point, Georgia, is running as a Republican in Georgia's 3rd District.

Dr. Ferguson earned his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1992, where he has been an adjunct faculty member since 1998. Dr. Ferguson practices in West Point, where he served as mayor from 2008-16 before resigning to run for Congress.

Georgia's primary will be held May 24.

Dr. Fred Costello of Ormond Beach, Florida, is running as a Republican in Florida's 6th District.

Dr. Costello earned his dental degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He is a former U.S. Air Force captain, served as mayor of Ormond Beach from 2002-10, and is currently a member of the Florida House of Representatives. He practices general dentistry in Ormond Beach.

Florida's primary will be held Aug. 30.
