Dr. Joseph P. Crowley is ADA president-elect

Dr. Joseph P. Crowley, of Cincinnati, was elected president-elect of the American Dental Association on Monday.
Dr. Crowley addressed the House of Delegates after the results were announced, thanking them and his supporters.
“My charge is to not stay status quo. We are well on our way to moving forward to being a progressive organization,” Dr. Crowley told the House of Delegates. “I’m very happy to have two years with you to move forward. Thank you very much.”
Dr. Crowley, an ADA member for 40 years, is immediate past trustee of the ADA’s 7th District.
He is also former chair of the ADA Council on Government Affairs, was chair of the ADA Audit Committee and was on the American Dental Political Action Committee Board of Directors.
Dr. Crowley was the president of the Ohio Dental Association from 2005-06 and president of the Cincinnati Dental Society in 1996.
He is a member of the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, Ohio State University College of Dentistry Alumni Advisory Board, L.D. Pankey Institute Alumni Association, Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of General Dentistry.
In 2013, Dr. Crowley earned the Ohio Dental Association Distinguished Dentist Award. He also received the Ohio Dental Association Achievement Award in 2001, the Cincinnati Dental Society Meritorious Service Award in 2007 and the Ohio Pierre Fauchard Distinguished Dentist Award.
He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1976, and returned to Cincinnati where he has been a dentist for 40 years.
