Register for ADA Standards Committee on Dental Products meeting

February 22, 2017 San Francisco — Dental professionals with an interest in standards development are invited to a March 20-22 meeting in San Francisco.

The ADA Standards Committee on Dental Products and the U.S. Technical Advisory Group for the International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee 106 Dentistry will meet March 20 for working group meetings, March 21 for subcommittee/sub-technical advisory group meetings and March 22 for the full ADA Standard Committee on Dental Products plenary at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.

Also on March 22, participants can attend the symposium, "Insight into the Performance of the Periodontal Ligament and Issues Regarding Release of Nano-particles."

The standards meeting precedes the International Association for Dental Research/American Association for Dental Research/Canadian Association for Dental Research General Session, scheduled for March 22-25 in San Francisco.

Hotel reservations must be made through AADRonline.org, the website of the American Association for Dental Research, to qualify participants for discounted meeting rates.

There is no charge to attend the standards meeting, but registration is required by contacting Kathy Medic at 800-621-8099, ext. 2533, or by email at medick@ada.org.

The ADA is accredited by the American National Standards Institute to develop American National Standards for products and information technology used by the dental profession and by consumers.  Currently there are more than 90 national standards and more are under development.

ADA involvement in the U.S. Technical Advisory Group for the International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee 106 Dentistry ensures that the voice of U.S. dentistry is heard in international dental standards development, which has global impact, according to the standards committee.
