Advanced Dental Leadership program registration deadline Feb. 28

February 14, 2017 The Advanced Dental Leadership program through King's College London is designed for undergraduates, postgraduates, dental assistants and receptionists — any dental personnel who has contact with the public.

Applicants can register for free by Feb. 28 and can complete the course on their own time.

Students will learn how to lead, organize, empower and motivate themselves and others, how to influence and persuade their team and patients with their words and how to respond to difficult social situations, according to a flyer created by King's College London.

"Building on this knowledge they will then start to expand their creativity and think about how to give effective evidence-based oral health advice so their patients actually understand them," the flyer states. Part of the program "will be particularly useful for dental students starting to give oral health advice."

On completion of the course students will receive a certificate accredited by the Global Child Dental Fund, the World Federation of Public Health Associations and the International Federation of Dental Hygienists.
