Bad breath, kissing and Valentine's Day may be on the minds of patients in the coming weeks.

ADA Spokesperson Dr. Alice Boghosian conducted interviews with news outlets nationwide Feb. 7 during a satellite media tour focused on Valentine's Day and bad breath. Dr. Boghosian, a national consumer advisor spokesperson for the ADA, discussed some reasons why patients may experience bad breath, noting that some factors are harmless while others may be a sign of something more serious.

She reminded consumers to brush twice a day for two minutes and to floss once a day. Dr. Boghosian also encouraged patients to look for the ADA Seal of Acceptance when choosing dental products and visit their dentist regularly.

Dr. Boghosian, who has served on the ADA Council on Communications and the board of trustees of the Illinois State Dental Society, did interviews with more than 20 news outlets across the country.
