Registration open for dental informatics meeting
January 09, 2017
Dental professionals interested in getting involved in the development of dental standards are invited to the ADA Standards Committee on Dental Informatics meeting Feb. 26-28 in Chicago.
There is no charge to attend the meeting, but registration is required and discounted hotel reservations are available.
The American National Standards Institute accredits the ADA to develop national standards for products and information technology used by the dental profession and consumers. More than 90 national standards are currently in development, according to the standards committee. These national standards aim to provide information on new and emerging technologies and to ensure product safety and efficacy for both the clinician and patient.
The meeting opens at noon Feb. 26 with a pre-plenary session, followed by Standards Committee on Dental Informatics working group meetings that afternoon until noon Feb. 28. The plenary session takes place at 1 p.m. Feb. 28. The meetings are held at ADA Headquarters.
