Nomination deadline near for evidence-based dentistry awards

July 28, 2017 The ADA and the American Association for Dental Research are in search of dental educators and clinicians who have made significant contributions to implement and advance evidence-based dentistry.

The nomination deadline for the ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry faculty and practice awards is Aug. 30. Awards, which include a plaque, $1,000, travel and a one-night hotel stay to receive the award at ADA 2017 – America's Dental Meeting, will be presented during the meeting in Atlanta on Oct. 19.

The three awards include the accomplished faculty award for full- or part-time faculty members of 30 or more years at an accredited U.S. dental school; the mid-career faculty award for those with between 10 and 30 years as a full- or part-time faculty member at an accredited U.S. dental school; and the practitioner award for those who've completed an evidenced-based dentistry project within the past two years or demonstrated leadership in implementing evidence-based dentistry in private practice or a public health setting.

All awardees must be members of the ADA and/or the American Association for Dental Research. Applicants may nominate themselves.
