Henry Schein donates products to youth athletic, education event

June 12, 2017

Working out their health: Children from Miami youth groups work with Miami Marlins Assistant Athletic Trainer Mike Kozak on stretching drills in left field at Marlins Park June 1. The PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) campaign is put on by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society in conjunction with the Henry Schein Cares Foundation and the Taylor Hooton Foundation. Children learn about the importance of staying active, making healthy choices and routinely visiting their doctor and dentist. Events are being held at Major League Baseball stadiums throughout the spring and summer, and the 200 children who attend each session receive a drawstring pack with sunscreen, toothpaste, a toothbrush, dental floss, eye black, a mouthguard, Thera-Band exercise bands, hand sanitizer and a score card to track teeth brushing, hand washing and other healthy habits. The product donation is an initiative of Henry Schein Cares, the company's global corporate social responsibility program. The Henry Schein Cares Foundation is also providing a monetary donation in support of the program.
