CMS will hold Open Payments call on April 13

March 10, 2017 Baltimore — The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will hold an informational call from 1:30-3 p.m. ET on April 13 on how to access and use the Open Payments system to review and dispute the accuracy of records submitted by industry.

Beginning in April, doctors and teaching hospitals will have 45 days to review and dispute records attributed to them. Every year, CMS updates the Open Payments (Physician Payments Sunshine Act) data and recommends all providers check their data. CMS will publish the 2016 payment data and updates to the 2013, 2014, and 2015 data on June 30.

For more information about reviewing and disputing Open Payments data, visit the website or contact the CMS Help Desk at openpayments@cms.hhs.gov. The ADA has also compiled a list of frequently asked questions about Open Payments for members.

To register for the call, visit the Medicare Learning Network Connects Event Registration website.
