Dental volunteers needed in Northern Maine

Presque Isle, Maine—The Indian Health Service Micmac Family Clinic has an immediate opening for dental volunteers to serve at its remote, one-chair clinic near Presque Isle in Northern Maine.

The clinic needs one volunteer per month to serve four consecutive days each month during January, February, March and April 2009.

Through the ADA American Indian/Alaska Native Dental Placement Program, the Association pays for volunteers' airfare and will reimburse for lodging, ground transportation and provide a $75 per diem. Volunteers must make their airline travel arrangements through the ADA travel service.

For more information about this opportunity, please contact Gary Podschun, manager, Community Outreach and Cultural Competence for the Council on Access, Prevention and Interprofessional Relations, at podschung@ada.org or 1-312-440-7487.
