ADA sesquicentennial Web site goes live

This month marked the launch of a new section on ADA.org that will serve as a clearinghouse for information about the sesquicentennial celebration marking the Association's 150th anniversary.

Anniversary activities, which will include numerous events, a commemorative coffee-table book and a special supplement to The Journal of the American Dental Association among other observances, were kicked off at this year's annual session in San Antonio and will culminate with the 150th annual session in Hawaii in 2009.

Currently, the sesquicentennial Web site offers information about several events associated with the anniversary celebration as well as a rundown of anniversary activities and information about the committee charged with planning the celebration. The site will also serve as a source for news about upcoming activities and a repository for information about the ADA's storied history.
