Colorado Dental Association starts search for new executive director

Denver - The Colorado Dental Association is seeking a new executive director. Gary Cummins, who currently holds the position, has announced he will complete his tenure at CDA on Dec. 31. Mr. Cummins has served more than eight years as CDA's executive director.

The CDA says it is looking for "an experienced, creative, progressive thinking, well-organized, computer literate executive director to provide effective leadership for its association membership and staff." Requirements include an MBA or master's degree in business or a related field with at least five years of experience in association management. Standing as a Certified Association Executive is a plus.

The CDA executive director is responsible for the daily administration, operations and fiscal management of the association and for implementing the decisions of the CDA Executive Committee, its Board of Trustees and its House of Delegates. The position requires some travel and some evening and weekend work. The CDA notes that it offers an excellent benefits package and will offer a salary commensurate with knowledge and experience.
