ADA, Crest/Oral-B to announce opinion survey results at session

San Antonio—Public opinion matters—especially for dentists who often rely on word-of-mouth when building and retaining a practice.

That's why this year at annual session the ADA, in collaboration with Crest/Oral-B, will present "Watch Your Mouth: A Survey of America's Oral Healthcare."

The survey readout will take place Thursday, Oct. 16 from 6-8 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Texas Ballroom, Salon F, and includes a complimentary dinner.

The report presents the findings of a nationally representative survey of 1,000 Americans 18 and older who live in the continental U.S. and gives dentists and their dental teams an opportunity to hear what their patients may not be telling them when it comes to their oral health care.

"The ADA greatly appreciates Crest/Oral-B stepping up to sponsor this important survey and looks forward to the release of survey results in San Antonio. We're hopeful this survey will set some benchmarks on how consumers feel about their oral health, and that over time we'll be able to move those perceptions in a positive way," said Dr. Mark J. Feldman, ADA president.

Dr. Ada Cooper, ADA consumer advisor, and Dr. Leslie Winston, director, North America Professional and Scientific Relations for Procter & Gamble, will co-chair the event.

To attend the dinner and hear the results of the survey, please contact Heather Dewald by phone at 1-212-468-3753 or by e-mail at heather.dewald@publicis-pr.com by Oct. 3. Some dentists may also receive an invitation by mail.

A future issue of the ADA News will provide information on where to obtain the survey results.
