Brazilian dentists to present award-winning research at annual session

San Antonio—Two award-winning Brazilian dentists will present their research at the ADA annual session in San Antonio Oct. 18.

Drs. Joana De Mattos Ozi and Maria Luisa Antunes Sperandéo, winners of a scientific competition involving some 1,000 dentists at the Congresso Internacional de Odontologia de São Paulo, will present their winning research in English as one free CE course, Course Code 7348, from 3-5:30 p.m. at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

Dr. Ozi, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in São Paulo, will present "Strategies for Oral and Maxillofacial Rehabilitation in Cancer Patients: The Osseo-integration Concept." Dr. Luciano Dib, professor of stomatology at Universidade Paulista School of Dentistry in Brazil and coordinator, Maxillofacial Rehabilitation Unit, Universidade Federal de São Paolo, will be a co-presenter.

Dr. Sperandéo, director of the Sperandéo Odontology Clinic in São Paulo and author of "Ortopedia Funcional dos Maxilares," will present "Relationship Between Functional Jaw Orthopedics and the Retrieval of Aversive Memory."
