Wanted: Dental volunteers in Jamaica
Each year, more than 100 dental volunteers assist in 1000 Smiles, which serves more than 12,000 Jamaicans in temporary clinics and schools and provides more than $1.5 million in dental services and education.
For many of these patients, it's the first time they've ever visited a dental professional.
All Great Shape volunteers work alongside the Jamaican Ministry of Health and are provided housing by Sandals Resort International.
Volunteer dates are Sept. 26-Oct. 13 in Ocho Rios; Oct. 17-Nov. 3 in Montego Bay; and Nov. 7-24 in Negril. Volunteers have the option of working one or two weeks during these times.
