Dental benefits conference set for Aug. 20

Health care reform, fraud and the Dental Quality Alliance effort will line the agenda Aug. 20 for the National Dental Benefits Conference 2010.

The annual conference will be held from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at ADA Headquarters in Chicago. About 110 people are expected to attend, including dentists and their staff; state dental society staff; component society staff; benefits brokers, consultants; and third-party administrators.

Dentists can receive continuing education credits for attending, and lunch will be provided. The conference will include topics such as dental quality alliance; fraud; how dentists can protect themselves from malpractice lawsuits and Internet defamation; health care reform; and evidence-based plan design, said Dennis McHugh, manager ADA Dental Benefit Information Service.

For questions, contact Mr. McHugh at 1-800-621-8099, Ext. 2586 or by e-mail at mchughd@ada.org.
