Bruxism, TMD resources offered
The ADA Catalog has several resources available to help dentists better assist patients suffering from jaw conditions.
The Temporomandibular Joint Model (P557) can help patients understand how the TMJ works and the problematic conditions associated with it. The model illustrates the effects of jaw problems on teeth, such as cracks, chips, caries and bruxism.
The newly-revised Temporomandibular Disorders brochure (W193) explores how and why TMD may occur and provides clear explanations on how it can be effectively treated; Do You Grind Your Teeth? (W164) explains the causes of bruxism, outlines the ways dental treatments can help and emphasizes the importance of dental checkups to detect damage in the early stages.
Until Aug. 15, the ADA is offering a 10 percent discount on all patient education product orders of $75 or more with priority code No. 10421. Visit www.adacatalog.org or call 1-800-947-4746.
