EBD critical summaries available on the Web
The ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry has updated its critical summaries, posted online at http://ebd.ada.org.
The summaries, which provide concise analyses and appraisals of evidence-based systematic reviews from other publications, are offered as a resource for dentists to use in clinical decision-making.
These appraisals are prepared by experts working with the ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry.
Recent postings include:
- Limited Evidence Suggests that Low-Dose Oral Bisphosphonate Therapy Does Not Increase Osteonecrosis Risk from Implant Procedures or Adversely Affect Implant Outcomes;
- Limited Evidence for Single-Dose Etodolac for Acute Postoperative Pain;
- Survival Between Short- and Conventional-Rough-Surface Dental Implants in Partially or Totally Edentulous Patients is Not Different;
- Inconclusive Evidence for the Effectiveness of Immediate and Early Loading of Dental Implants.
