Sing, play, travel this fall with medical musical group
Washington—Dental professionals who aspire to perform in an orchestra or chorale and experience the attractions of Paris can sign on to join the VA-National Medical Musical Group for its November performances in Washington and Paris.
The group will perform twice this fall for its "Healing for the Nations" concert series. The 2010 National U.S. Veterans Day concert, with the theme, "Welcome Home, Veterans," will be Nov. 10 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington.
On Nov. 15, the group will perform at a French-American Friendship Concert, "Vive L'Amitie!" at the Grande Salle of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization headquarters in Paris.
The MMG will depart Washington Nov. 11 and offer members a chance to visit many Paris landmarks, including the Louvre and Versailles. Other optional tours to the Normandy beaches, Reims and the Champagne region, Amsterdam and other sites are also planned.
